I’ve spent over a decade behind a camera chasing light, weddings, laughter, sunlight on faces.
But after my mother passed, I started craving the dark.
I took a one way flight to Iceland, sat under a new moon sky, and realized how sacred stillness could be.
That moment became Nicturna.
I’m a Mexican-Canadian rooted, intuitive, and endlessly curious about what happens when we stop performing and just are.
These days, I guide people of every identity into the night to be witnessed by the stars..

My Mother
These evening portrait sessions named Nicturna Sessions were launched in 2018 to celebrate the beauty of females.
These sessions were inspired by my Mother Odette who saw the beauty in everyone. She was so proud of me for photographing women like this and loved showing people these images.
She crossed on Spring Equinox 2024. Her sign with me is owls. Sometimes they show up at night lately for me, a sign telling me she’s with us.
My mother was raised in Mexico and has always been an inspiration to me when it came to natural remedies, understanding energy and embracing my spirituality.
Nicturna is an ode to my Mexican lineage.
