Clarissa's Nicturna Session - Harvest Full Moon - Bragg Creek
Nicturna Sessions were inspired by my Mother Odette and I started them to make a difference in women’s lives. I wanted to start bringing women out at night in nature to reset and really embrace their beauty. These sessions have turned into so much more than pretty photoshoots and I really am enjoying these new girls I get to meet and hang out with for a lil magical evening. Here is Clarissa’s Nicturna Session along with some words from her.
“I did the nicturna session because I am starting my new business, it’s the way I get to be of service in this world, and I wanted the most magical pictures to be able to capture what it is that I’m offering (which is a subscription box that guides you into the wise self that’s inside you through really awesome spiritual practices) I literally dreamt about what I wanted, and there you were making my dreams come true! - only what you did in reality is more breathtakingly beautiful.
The whole experience was amazing. I thought being really seen would be uncomfortable for me, but you made it so simple and easy and super fun. Time flew by and I didn’t even notice, not once did I feel self conscious, and it truly was an empowering experience.”

Nicturna Session - Buck Full Moon - Kananaskis Country

“I am SO happy I decided to do a Nicturna Session with Sofia. When I booked the shoot, we talked about what I hoped to get out of it, I was currently pregnant when I booked the shoot and would be 3 months postpartum. I told her I wanted to feel like a princess of the night. And wow, with hair and makeup done, the prefect location I felt so gorgeous, and could not of been happier. A bit of a wardrobe malfunction on my part but you can't even tell, Sofia made me feel amazing about myself and super comfortable. She directed me when I needed help for the prefect photo's.
If you are even thinking about getting one done, I 100% recommend just doing it. You will not regret it. A shoot at night and in the water is a bit chilly, but magical and so worth it!”

Nicturna Session - Strawberry Full Moon 2019 - Sonya
Sonya had her Nicturna session on the strawberry full moon evening in June this year at Barrier Lake. I have brought many women out to this lake in Kananaskis Country over the last year and it has a certain calm and magic about it. The area is so quiet and often we are totally alone for the shoots, with exception of the odd bird flying around to say hello.
Nicturna sessions are night photoshoot experiences for women shot on the evenings of full moons and dark sky new moons always outdoors and in nature. These shoots were inspired by my mother and are meant to be more than just photos but an amazing experience from booking to image delivery.
Here is how Sonya summed up her session:
If not now, when? - was the question I asked myself when I read of the opening Sofia had on my birthday. I am so grateful I acted on it.
My Nicturna Session was the best gift I have ever given myself. This session was to celebrate me and all that I have worked through to get to who and where I am today. Seeing the first photo was an emotional experience for me because Sofia was able to capture the real me, the me I have evolved into to, that I hadn't taken the time to really see and acknowledge. It truly was an magical experience that I will never forget.What do you think is most beautiful about yourself? My spirit and my green eyes.

Happiness comes from within. You are worthy and enough. You have a voice, use it wisely and kindly.
